EEG (Electroencephalogram)

Electroencephalogram is a noninvasive test that detects the electrical activity of the brain.

It is done to detect seizures & diagnose epilepsy , sleep disorders, brain injuries, stroke
 
Procedure-
Small metal discs with thin wires ( electrodes ) are placed on the scalp. The brain cells communicate via electrical impulses, the activity shows up as wavy lines which is printed on a paper.

Preparation

• Hair should be oil free, washed & dried before coming for the procedure.

• Carry all previous reports if you have undergone procedure earlier.
